Industrial Printing Machine Transport and Handling

We handle, transport, and install rotary and digital printing presses with personnel trained by manufacturers, managing loading, unloading, positioning, and preparation for start-up.

Specialists in Printing Machinery Handling

For over 70 years we have been handling the transport and handling of digital and rotary printing machinery. We use specific electric-powered equipment suitable for enclosed environments and delicate floors.

Our specialized personnel have been trained directly at major manufacturers such as Heidelberg, Koenig & Bauer, Komori, and Manroland (of which we are official partners with several clients in Italy and Europe), acquiring expertise in all phases: alignment, leveling, assembly, and electrical and mechanical wiring.

This experience enables us to operate as a true “project manager” for complex transfers of graphic facilities and large-scale company relocations, in Italy and abroad, such as the transfer of the rotary press from Preston (United Kingdom) to Mestre for the printing of “Il Gazzettino”.

Complete Solutions for Graphic Machine Positioning

Digital printing machines and rotary presses have specific centers of gravity, significant dimensions, and very tight alignment tolerances. An error in lifting, leveling, or alignment can compromise print quality and halt production. Our team, trained directly by leading manufacturers, works with specific procedures for the graphic sector, from taking charge of the machine to the final print test.

If you need disassembly, assembly, and support during the print test in addition to transport, we work in synergy with Bettella Service: same contacts, same schedule, a single point of contact from the first bolt to the final print test.

In All Industrial Printing Sectors

  • Plastic Material Printing and Processing
  • Sheet Metal Printing and Processing
  • Offset or Digital Printing Machines
  • Rotogravure Printing Machines
  • Flexographic Printing Machines
  • Complete Rotary Presses
  • Printing Machines for Paper, Cardboard, and Plastic

In each of these areas we know the weights, centers of gravity, and specific critical aspects of printing machines. This allows us to plan lifting, handling, and positioning in a targeted manner, reducing the risk of damage to printing units and ensuring definite equipment downtime.

Any questions?

Yes. We can handle only the loading/unloading and positioning of the printing machine or new rotary press, working in coordination with the manufacturer’s technicians. We typically provide crane operators and mechanics for introduction into the facility, leveling, and mechanical installation in the designated position.

Yes, we often work on used printing machines and web presses. Over time, we have trained mechanics who are well acquainted with various models of graphic equipment; however, it is essential to have the layout, initial configuration, and, when possible, the reference of the technician who serviced the machine, so we can respect the original specifications during disassembly and reassembly.

Yes. We organize land and sea transport, handling technical packaging (protective oil, barrier bag, crates or pallets certified for export) and, if needed, the network of partner freight forwarders. In some cases the client prefers to independently organize foreign trucks: in that case we still coordinate the loading phases and packaging to ensure the machine arrives intact at its destination.

Normally electrical connections, air, extraction systems, and auxiliary equipment are disconnected by the client’s technicians or the machine manufacturer. We handle mechanical disassembly, assistance with electric cranes, trolleys and aerial platforms, and the subsequent reassembly phase. In some cases we can also provide our specialized electricians/mechanics, but any modifications to the standard configuration must always be planned with the manufacturer or an authorized technician.

When the machine is shut down in standard configuration, we document the initial parameters and reassemble it following the same layout. In these cases, if something is not right at start-up, our technicians remain on-site to support until the problem is resolved, because we take responsibility for the work performed. However, if the machine has been modified from its original configuration or other parties have worked on electrical/systems, we still support the client, but the manufacturer’s technician or machine supervisor must also be involved.
